Vocational Wellbeing For People Living With Dementia
There are 472 people living with dementia in the area surrounding Frame Of Mind many of whom could benefit from the one to one vocational wellbeing service that we offer. There is nobody in the local area providing any service like this. Our initial results have been extremely promising and we need your help to expand the service to see if we can replicate the results over a wider range of people.
All the people who have accessed the service so far have shown a marked improvement in their well being. Janice Gadd, whose father, Ron Davies uses the service, said: "Attending Frame of Mind has given my father back a purpose for living. "Not only does he benefit from the positive attitude and care of the staff and volunteers, but he has something concrete which he is proud to show to friends."We can't thank them enough."Ron said. "I come here once a week and for me it is not enough"
" Frame of Mind is a unique, ground breaking Community Interest Organisation. It is led with such heart, passion and determination to reach people. Focusing on the ever increasing population of people experiencing early dementia, who are at huge risk of being excluded in society, Frame of Mind makes a massive difference. By providing meaningful work, friendship and purpose in life it is at the forefront in the future of a new culture of dementia care. Most support services in dementia care in the UK need to learn from this creative organisation about how to support people to come alive and feel of worth. Social inclusion is really lived here and made a true reality by this organisation that proves people really matter. "
